PCAC Youth Excellence in Arts (YEA!) Awards Overview

	Are you a creative writer, visual artist, musician, or performing artist?
	Do you live in Pleasanton, attend Pleasanton schools, or take private lessons in Pleasanton which focus upon your art?
	Are you between the ages of 14 and 20?
	Can you use an award of $500 (1st Place) or $300 (2nd Place) to pursue your art?

If so, we invite you to apply for the
PCAC Youth Excellence in Arts (YEA!) Awards

These awards are PCAC's way of recognizing the wonderful talent and efforts of young adults in Pleasanton and to help them pursue their talents. This year, perhaps YOU are one of the young artists who deserve this kind of support and recognition for your art.

Awards will be offered in the following categories:

	Creative Writing
	Visual Arts (Phyllis Wentworth Award for 1st place)
	Music (Renee Smith Award for 1st place)
	Drama/Dance/Speech Arts/Film

The award for first place is $500; the award for second place is $300.

Awards Banquet

We present our Youth Excellence in Arts (YEA!) Awards and the Arts Supporter of the Year Award at an evening awards banquet to which the public is invited. This year's winners will be honored on the evening of June 4, 2008. The location and time will be announced later.
